How does Luminess Air airbrushing work?

Airbrush makeup is sprayed on the face or body, through the Luminess Air stylus as a fine mist of color that gently covers the skin, giving the appearance of a flawless complexion. Spraying micro-dots of Luminess Air makeup on the surface of the face looks more natural than traditional makeup because it glides smoothly over your skin's surface and doesn’t exaggerate your pores. This process allows the airbrush makeup to conceal while enabling your skin to breathe.

How long does Luminess Air makeup last?

Luminess Air is a high-performance cosmetic which is rated to last for more than 18 hours. If you feel your makeup does not last as long as you expected, consider the following: Is your face clean and product-free before application? If not, Luminess Air foundation will not properly bond with your skin. Are you applying a single heavy application vs. a few fine coats? IMPORTANT: The longest applications tend to result from fresh clean, skin.

Never apply heavy coats. A single heavy coat will have a quarter of the life that 2 or 3 light coats will have, which will easily last 18+ hours or overnight.

Can I use the Luminess Air Airbrush Systems everyday?

The Luminess Air system is designed for everyday use. It is simple enough to use for an everyday look, or easy to glam up for a night on the town.

Does Luminess Air offer tutorials on learning how to airbrush?

Learning how to airbrush is simple, but don't be discouraged if you don't get it perfect the first time around. Dispense 4-6 drops of product within your stylus cup and you're ready to go! When applying your product, make sure to hold your stylus like you would hold a pen. Next, lightly pull back on your trigger to apply the product onto your face. When first starting out it is also helpful to spray product onto a piece of paper to see exactly where you are spraying and how hard you need to pull back to achieve your desired result! Can I use other products with my Luminess Air system?

Luminess Air is designed to be used with Luminess Air Airbrush Cosmetics only. Using other products in your system is not recommended, as this will invalidate the Luminess Air, standard warranty.

How often should I clean my Luminess Air stylus?

Your stylus does not have to be cleaned between each color application, but once you're done putting on all of your makeup, it should be rinsed out thoroughly. This will ensure the best possible makeup application.

When can I expect my Luminess Air product to be shipped and delivered?

All orders with standard shipping are shipped between 2–6 weeks after receiving the order (start order date). Start order dates are calculated from the first weekday after order is called in or ordered via website. Orders with optional Rush shipping are shipped within 7–10 business days. Consumers can expect an average of 2–10 days to receive delivery after order is shipped from our facility.

I'm having a hard time matching my skin color. Help!

This is a simple fix in six easy steps!

• Locate all of the foundation shades within your starter kit.

• Shake all the bottles extremely well for a minimum of 30 seconds before your first application; this will ensure you receive the best result from your airbrush makeup.

• Test each of the shades on your chest (matching your face to your chest will provide a seamless look); spray a light stripe on your skin to reveal the color.

• Select the closest shade to your current skin tone. If your skin shade is not an exact match, you can combine the two closest colors in your stylus.

• Place 4-6 drops of the selected shade into the airbrush cup. If combining shades, place 3 drops of each shade in the stylus. Then, hold your finger over the tip of the stylus, gently pull back on the trigger, and the shades will “back bubble,” mixing for you.

• Gently begin to spray product onto your face using a circular motion. It's important to remember that you should spray a light, delicate coat of product on your skin. Never pull the airbrush throttle all the way back unless you are cleaning out your stylus. Pull any further and you will produce a very thick, unattractive coat. Go light with your coverage, and then re-coat 1 to 3 additional times or until your desired results are achieved.
